Turn your hobby into a successful business with minimal investment

Many of the world’s most successful businesses began as a hobby. Probably the most popular company that actually began as a hobby is the major online auction site of Ebay. Other well known companies that were hobbies first include Dell Computers, Famous Amos Cookies, and Wendy’s.

If you’ve been considering starting your own business, but haven’t determined exactly what that business should be - think about the types of activities you enjoy doing. What are your hobbies? Do you enjoy hiking through the woods, or jogging around the track? Maybe you enjoy writing poetry or painting ceramics. Regardless of your particular hobby, there is a way for you to profit from your experience and knowledge.

Many entrepreneurs-to-be do not have much for start up capital. In fact, one of the most common reasons for considering a new business is because people are attempting to make more money to pay off existing debt and be able to afford more entertainment in their lives. While there are many businesses that would require a hefty initial investment, there are also hundreds of businesses you can start right now that are related to your hobby in some way, that don’t require much of a financial investment. You’ll need to invest your time, energy and devotion - and with these three ingredients, you’ll be on the path to a successful business venture in no time.

Low Investment Hobby Business Ideas

Affiliate Programs - If you are very new to online marketing and maybe even the internet in general, you may want to start with an affiliate program. An affiliate program allows you to earn commission on the sales you generate for someone else’s product. If your hobby involves playing poker, you could join one of the many online poker room affiliate programs (for free) and get your feet wet, learning how to use the internet to market a product, how to generate traffic and turn website visitors into buying customers. Once you’ve learned a few tricks of the trade, you can move on to actually creating your own business, rather than earning a commission by promoting someone else’s!

Audio & Written Interviews - If you have a hobby that features famous individuals, you could start a business by interviewing people and distributing the audio recordings of the interviews online. You could write out the interviews and sell to magazines or newspapers, or industry specific trade publications involving your hobby. For example, if you want to do something that involves skateboarding, find and interview Tony Hawk, or someone who has skated with Tony Hawk.

Retail Sales - If your hobby involves the creation of objects, you can develop your own product line and sell them via a website or mail order catalog. In order to keep your start up investment minimal, you’ll want to only make a few items for display purposes, and then make products when they are ordered from customers. Look for wholesale places to purchase your raw materials, in order to gain a larger profit when you sell the finished product.

The secret to wealth online

Copyright 2006 Timothy Rohrer

Success is highly dependent on the individual behind the business. Granted there is enough information available on the internet to make your head explode, but being able to identify the correct business opportunity can lead you to a massive wealth building nest egg.

Last summer I decided that if I wanted to change my financial situation, I had to first change what I was doing. Many people dream of making an extra income online, but very few actually do it simply because it takes time and effort. I am living proof that anyone can do this if you have a strong desire to succeed. To make a long story short, I did some research online and found a company called, “Mazu Publishing.” The company has been reviewing home based business opportunities for 10 years and provided some very good information on home based businesses. I’ve taken the information from various companies and applied it online which lead to a massive explosion of my income.

Initially, during my research online, I found many companies with the same shallow promises claiming to make me a millionaire in a few months time or even a year. I am a firm believer that online businesses work, but it’s just wrong to make false claims unless you have a large sum of money to invest and can double your money every month, you will not be a millionaire in 1 year. Each of these companies had their own unique costs and different business opportunities. I decided to go with the most reputable company that was affordable at the time and one that fit my needs.

Many people ask how do you know exactly what type business opportunity to get involved with if there are so many choices? The first thing I look for in any company is how long they have been around for. New companies come and go everyday, but a company that has been around for a few years provides some credibility.

The second most import aspect when looking for the right opportunity is being able to identify a product or service that people need. In some cases it’s a task that you can perform online such as trading or perhaps an investment that offers a 10% return on your money per month. My recommendation is to choose the opportunity that best suits your needs. If you feel up to networking and talking with other people, then perhaps a company with a great product to show other people is what you are looking for. If you do not wish to talk to anyone or sell anything, then perhaps you are looking for a passive opportunity where all the work is done for you.

When you find an internet business that looks good, make sure to find out how long the company has been around for. Find a business that is suitable for you and not for someone else. What you feel is a great business, may not be for the next person. One thing successful people have in common and that they are confident and decisive. If you feel the opportunity is right and you know you can make it work, than your chances are it will succeed.

The easy way to write your own articles

Writing Articles pertaining to Your Home-based Business Oppurtunity is one of the most profitable, inexpensive and longterm Internet Marketing Strategies of all. Most people feel they aren't capable of writing articles; But think of it this way, if You can talk--You can write articles. Why do I say this? Because writing is simply a matter of organizing Your thoughts. Once You're capable of writiing Your own articles about Your Home-based Business'products or service , they can be submitted to an Article Submission Service and broadcast all over the Internet; On other peoples websites and in ezines and newsletters at no cost to You. In other words, no cost advertising since it is mandatory for whoever publishes Your articles to include Your resource box which points to Your website.

The first step of this process is to create a title that will compel readers to read Your article and explain the subject of Your article. Then make an outline of three or four points that You can briefly expand on in the body of Your written article.. The outline You have created will be the capsule form of the first paragraph. The last paragraph is the conclusion , briefly solving the problems or telling benefits of the three or four points You have made in the body of Your article.

The title of Your article is extremely important since it should draw Your readers in and make them want to read. In most cases, Internet Marketers write articles to provide their readers with information. Therefore, the how-to approach is best when educating on Your chosen subject., which deals with a specific aspect of Your product or service. Another compelling approach is to ask a question relating to how Your product or service can benefit Your readers or solve a problem that it might present. Whatever title You choose to introduce Your article with, remember to be specific so that the reader knows exactly what they are going to read about.

The next step is to make an outline of three or four points about your product or service, or more important , the subject of the article. These points are the basis of Your first paragraph which is set up with a subject line leading on to the points that will be expanded on in the body of the article. The body of the article should deal with each point you have made in the first paragraph. If you made three points of view, You'll generally have three paragraphs in the body of the article, each paragraph expanding on a different point. One rule to keep in mind when writing the body paragraphs of Your article is to stick to the point that You're trying to make, don't ramble on or skip to another point in that specific paragraph. However many points You have presented in the opening paragraph doesn't really matter, as long as each point is good information, specific to the subject of your article.

The last paragraph of Your article is the conclusion, which pretty much reiterates the first paragraph. The difference being, it briefly describes the problems solved or benefits gained for each of the points You've made and discussed in the body of the article. The concluding paragraph is merely a summation of the entire article and brings your discussion (in writing) to an end.

So, You see that writing your own articles can be easy and rewarding in that it gives you a sense of pride and accomplishment. The main benefit in writing Your own articles is that it's a no cost method of advertising and only costs a little bit of your time. Just by creating a compelling title, You can have thousandss of people froom all over the Internet readiing your articles in a very short period of time. Remember to make an outline of the points You want to expand on in the body of your article as this will be your guide as You write. The points of view that You convey to Your readers should solve problems or present benefits of the product or service that You are writing about. ...And last of all is the concluding paragraph where the points You've made are summarized as well as their solutions and benefits that You had previously described about Your product or service. This is the easiest approach to writing articles, You just write how You would talk to someone, in an organized fashion, and it will prove to be more personable too.

You can submit your articles at no cost to You by signing uup for the Affiliates Program at http://www. JustArticlesSubmissionService. com. Your articles will be published on other peoples websites, newsletters and ezines to create one of the most powerful Internet Marketing Strategies of all.

5 honeymoon money saving tips

The honeymoon will always be an important aspect in every wedding plan no matter how tight the budget is. While the wedding ceremony is the highlight of every relationship ending up in the altar, the couple will always look forward to the honeymoon.

Every newly - wedded couple will always feel the stress of wedding preparations. Even couples who are wise enough and who are capable of getting a wedding planner will not be exempt from the after - wedding desire to be stress - free. Thus, almost all couples will always consider their honeymoon the best part of getting married.

Honeymoon is a time to rest after all the wedding - related stress; it is a time to enjoy the company of each other away from the peering eyes of friends and relatives. It is a time for the couple to get to know each other better and intimately.

While majority of couples want their honeymoon to be wonderful, there is always the financial aspect that they have to contend with. The wedding ceremony may be the focal point of the whole preparation but the preparation itself requires a budget. The bride and groom and the entourage has to pay for their wedding dresses and tuxedos. The couple has to pay for the wedding services, the license, the wedding cake, the dinner and all wedding requirements.

What usually happens is that the couple spends too much on the wedding preparation that they end up having little and sometimes no budget for the honeymoon. But who said a couple could not have a romantic honeymoon if they o not have a large budget?

A honeymoon is basically already a romantic event because it is the time when the newly - wedded couple bond with each other. This alone should make the honeymoon romantic and memorable. Of course, there are at least five ways to make honeymoon a memorable event, even for a meager budget.

Every couple should take note of these five honeymoon money saving tips so they can have a fabulous time on their honeymoon without worrying about large financial requirements.

1. Avail of the services of a honeymoon registry so the guests will know what you need and want as a wedding gift

Gone are the days when a couple has to suffer in silence while opening the fifth identical wedding gift they have received; a dinnerware set. Through the wedding registry, the couple can inform the guests that they want or that they are in need of a honeymoon package. Guests who can afford such package can give them a free honeymoon instead of giving a gift that the couple does not need or a gift that they already have. Some of their friends may pool their resources together and gift them with a honeymoon package. This would mean great savings for the couple as well as a fabulous and free honeymoon.

2. Plan the honeymoon ahead of time and avail of promotions offered by resorts as early as one year away from the wedding date

Planning is till the best way to keep your resources intact and become more cost effective in your expenditures. With proper planning, the couple can take advantage of honeymoon packages or resort promotions offered by resort owners. Some areas offer home - stay programs to promote their tourism at a lower cost. Local governments sometimes promote their tourism by gathering responsible folks and training them to become home - stay partners. Under this scheme, the homes of respected locals are accredited by the tourism officials and they become official tourist h9ome - hotels. Home stay accommodations are generally less expensive than hotels. Availing of this package can save the couple thousands of dollars that would have been spent for hotel accommodation alone.

4. Why not try being one with nature and go camping for your honeymoon instead of staying in an expensive hotel?

Couples who are nature lovers can go backpacking for their honeymoon and enjoy others company with only the moon and the stars as witnesses. Do not time the honeymoon with summer or other dates when tourists would be flocking to the islands or resorts because this would be very expensive. Visit these areas during the off - peak season can mean less cost and more privacy.

Changing your life-style can lower blood pressure

When treating high blood pressure it helps a lot if it is detected in an early phase, because it appears long time before its symptoms and complications do. If it's detected early, much of the damage it does to the organs in the body can be prevented, and lowering blood pressure can be done easier. This is the first step that should be taken in high blood pressure treatment.

Afterwards, when what is called "pre-hypertension" is discovered, several other things should be done in order to lower the blood pressure. For example, patients should change their lifestyle quite often. The doctors recommend this for pre-hypertensive people. They are stating that life-style changes helps lowering blood pressure a lot for them. If your blood pressure reading starts exceeding 140/90 mm Hg, you can treat yourself by changing your lifestyle and taking the prescribed medicines. This, together with quitting smoking and drinking significantly helps lowering blood pressure. People must be made aware of these facts in order to help preventing and/or lowering blood pressure, and to reduce the risks of heart attacks and kidney failures.

As said before the blood pressure reading is very important when trying to prevent hypertension. For example, if you discover that the diastolic pressure is situated somewhere between 85 and 90 mm Hg you must consult a doctor and follow a different treatment, because there have been cases where people with blood pressure of these values suffered from end organ damage, and for some patients aged around 65 years-old the risk of cadiovascular damage increased when their diastolic blood pressure increased. These patients were suffering from diabetes and were smoking. Therefore it is recommended to immediately visit a doctor and lower your blood pressure if the readings indicate such levels.

Besides lifestyle changes of course, proper medication has an important role in lowering blood pressure. Medication should be administered right when high blood pressure is discovered in order for it to have its best effects in lowering blood pressure. If you suffer from high blood pressure and also diabetes there are special drugs that help treating both in the same time. Therefore, the conclusion is that in order to successfully and quickly lower blood pressure it must be discovered and treated while it is still in an early stage.

The value of a shovel

I grew up in Florida. I loved my childhood years, and not just because I lived three miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Rather, I loved my childhood because it was quite a normal childhood. I went to school and mostly hated it. I had a ton of friends that I loved to play with for hours and hours on end. My family was great and we made it to the beach as often as we could make time for it. My life seemed perfect, and I was quite sure that it would stay that way. I went to college in Florida and just assumed that I'd always live there. Life has a way of giving us reality checks however. I searched for jobs and found one in Minneapolis, Minneasota. I moved there ignorantly and quickly learned the value of a shovel.

I'll be honest. The only shovel I had encountered prior to my move to Minneapolis was a small one that my siblings and I used to make sandle castles on the beach. It had snowed a few times during my growing up years, but never enough to warrant the use of a shovel. So my transition to Minneapolis went smoothly until October hit and the snow began falling. It began falling and didn't stop falling until nearly April. I was warned by a new friend to buy a shovel when the first snow fell so fortunately I was prepared with my tool of choice to battle the winter snows.

I quickly learned the value of a shovel. I learned that a shovel has value because it does something very necessary when there is a pileup of snow or ice: it allows someone to remove that snow or ice and keep on living. I was thinking of the value of the shovel and about how a shovel is way more valuable to people in Minneapolis than it is to a resident of Florida. Most residents of Florida will never have use for a shovel, and therefore, they care little about whether they own a shovel or not.

That is a crazy thing about life and about humans assign value. It seems like we assign value to people and things based on their purpose in our life and based on what they can do for us. Don't we? As much as we'd like to claim that we are fully altruistic, isn't it true that we only appreciate a shovel, a medical doctor or even our own mother only when we need that thing to come through for us and do something?

I guess I learned a lot about myself and about the world upon moving to Minneapolis. I learned more than just how to use a shovel.

Dieting and exercising - results all the time

To be successful in keeping to an exercise program, you going to have to define results. Results for most mean weight on a scale, a dress size, the number of pounds on a bench press, and your waist size. I challenge you to think in abstracts. Results, all the time? Yes! It just may not come in the form you are looking for on the surface. You can break the type of results into three categories: emotional, internal and external.

EMOTIONAL

I believe more important than waistline measurements, personal bench press records or reading whatever the scale says, is what exercise does for you emotionally. For me, it was self-confidence and self - esteem. I will do this for life because I do not want to go back to the person I once was. For you, it may be a feeling of being productive. Or because you are doing something for you and no one else.

INTERNAL

Internal results come in the form of vital signs, such as lower blood pressure, and a decrease in body fats, cholesterols and triglycerides. Of course, these are important, but do not look just at the typical attributes.

EXTERNAL

These are results you are accustomed to achieving. It is something we can see or touch. Pants are fitting loser, arms are looking toned, and numbers on the scales are going down. At times it is a lot easier to get motivated by those things we can see, rather than all that is going on inside. Personally, I have seen more people stick with a program if they focus on the emotional and internal results, more than the external. The outside results may motivate you in the beginning, but it is the INSIDE OUT approach that keeps you going.

Ensuring that you get an approval for a payday loan

Are you planning to apply for no credit check payday loans? In most situations you would be doing so, only if you need cash immediately. This implies that it is an emergency, so you cannot afford to mess up. The approval process for a payday advance is usually simple and quick. But just in case you are denied a loan, most companies have a waiting period of seven days before you can re-apply. This can spell trouble. So, it makes sense to take whatever extra precautions are required to ensure that you get the no credit check payday loans, without much hassle.

Reasons why you could be denied a loan:

Before the cash until payday loan concept popularized raising cash untill payday was quite troublesome. In fact at times, the situation could even get embarrassing. Especially if you were forced to borrow cash from friends and acquaintances. But over the years, things have changed and now having to wait for cash untill payday is not a concern. You can apply for a cash advance until payday(also written as advance til payday). But for this, you need to make sure that your loan is not denied. There could be several reasons for denial of a cash until payday loan. A lender can deny your application if you do not fulfill the basic requirements. These could include the fact that your credit score is too low or if you do not have a credit history. Even though your credit history does not usually matter, but if you have declared bankruptcy in the recent past, this could adversely effect the decision of the lender. Also, if you have a poor repayment history, then your chances of getting a cash advance until payday(also written as advance til payday) are close to negligible.

Tips to keep in mind when applying for no credit check payday loans

Now, as mentioned above, if caught in a situation where you do not get a payday advance, it can lead to some trouble. But you have nothing to worry if a little care is taken while applying for a loan. Make sure that you read the qualification policy of the payday loan company carefully before you file your loan application. In case you do not meet the criteria, then do not apply for the loan. Instead, look for some other company. There are enough options available, many of which would perfectly match your qualifications. Further, do not apply to too many payday loan companies at the same time as this might be taken against you. You should also make sure that the information that you provide is accurate. In case it isn’t, your loan can be denied and your name black listed, if the payday loan company finds out . With these basic pointers in mind, you can go ahead and apply for a payday loan. In most cases, you most definitely will not face any problems in getting your cash until payday loan approved.

What you should know about arthritis

Should the person experience some muscle pain which lasts more than 2 or 3 days, there is a strong chance that one has arthritis.

Arthritis is a common disease that affects millions of people worldwide. This can be felt in the person’s joints, skin and organs inside the body. Should the person feel anything wrong, it is advisable to go straight to the doctor.

Doctors have discovered that there are over 100 types of arthritis. Given the number, the doctor will not be able to know which one is affecting the person without an examination.

There are 2 common forms of arthritis. The first is rheumatoid arthritis which is considered a chronic disease. There is inflammation in the joints caused by cartilage damage. Anyone who has this will suffer long term joint damage that will lead to chronic pain and disability. Pain is usually felt when waking up in the morning and will gradually disappear during the day.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a problem that will not go away. This happens in three stages. The first is swelling. The second is the rapid division and growth of cells. The third is when these cells release enzymes that will eat the bone causing the joint to lose shape until the person will not be able to move it anymore.

Since this is systemic disease, it can spread and affect other organs in the body. The best way to prevent is from happening is detecting it early to prevent the person from being disabled.

This can be treated with proper medication and therapy. There many drugs available that the patient can use. Some drugs offer pain relief to reduce the inflammation. Others can just do one function.

The second is called osteoarthritis. This happens more often than rheumatoid arthritis but unlike the first, there is no inflammation present. The cartilage in the joint is damaged and will eventually degenerate. Pain will slightly be felt when the person gets up but this will hurt later on during the day.

Osteoarthritis can either be primary or secondary. When it is primary, it is often associated with age. It is similar to a car where the parts have to be replaced due to wear and tear. Doctors consider this to be normal as people grow older.

The secondary type is often associated with something else that has caused this to happen. Some of these factors are an injury that took place, heredity, obesity and bone density.

Osteoarthritis can be treated with medication, exercise, weight control, joint protection, physical and occupational therapy. This is done to relieve the pain and slow the progression of the disease.

Both of these are caused by different things. The common thing between these 2 types is that joint pain can happen anywhere in the body.

Given the many medications available to treat this disease, the patient has to be aware of the side effects of each before choosing which one to use. The doctor should explain these to the person in order to make the right decision.

Arthritis and it’s different forms will not go away. Since this is an insurable disease, the best thing that the doctor and others can do until a cure if found is to help the patient ease the pain the slow the growth of the disease.

How to clear your credit card debts

These days there are so many ways to let credit get out of control that you will probably be constantly aware of the dangers of over spending. So many people have access to far more credit than they think they need or can afford, and it is a constant challenge not to let it get out of hand and fall into the trap of spending it all. For most people, credit cards are probably the most dangerous element of this situation and the one they will keep tabs on most closely. If you can get your credit card debts under control then you will have gone a good way to getting your finances and especially your spending under control. This is vital as credit card debt and other similar short term debts are one of the first places future lenders will look when assessing your credit worthiness for future borrowing.

There are a few very simple ways to go about keeping credit card debts under control. They are really just common sense but it is useful to recap over them as many people fall into the trap of thinking that there is some sort of magical short cut to clearing your credit card debts. Sadly this is simply not the case, and despite all the amazing deals on the market, such as zero per cent balance transfers, and loyalty rewards, the only way to clear your self of your credit card debts is to simply pay them all back.

The first thing you should do is cut back on your credit card use. You will have to stop spending so much so that your repayments can start to go back to reducing your balance rather than just keeping it where it is. If you think you will have trouble cutting back on your spending, then perhaps you should think about removing your credit cards from your wallet or purse, and leaving them at home. An even more drastic step is to cut them up.

You should also make sure you are making more than the minimum repayments. Making minimum repayments will never clear the debt, or at least it will take you a very very long time. What you should do is make as much above the minimum payment as you can afford, concentrating most of your repayments on the cards with the highest interest rates.

If you are having real difficulty meeting repayments, then you should perhaps consider contacting the credit card company and telling them of the situation and asking them if they can do anything to help you.

What are the different types of printing

Not all printing companies are created equal. There are those that are able to give you full color printing for your marketing collaterals. Still there are printing houses that offer excellent offset printing to provide you a cost effective print job, hence, bigger savings.

Whatever kind of printer you need to accomplish the job you require, you also have to learn to distinguish the differences among the printing techniques. This is so you could discuss with your printer the most suitable method for your marketing campaign.

Here are the different types of printing that you may want to get acquainted with before you go to a printing company for your print job:

Offset Lithography – The most common printing method in the industry, most printers use offset lithography to save on ink and limit set up time. Hence, you are able to avail of a more affordable and cost effective print job for your color printing requirements. What printers usually do is to offset the ink (thus, the name) from metal plates to a rubber cylinder and then transfer it onto the paper stock.

Digital Printing – It is probably the most popular printing method since its introduction. Digital printing is very effective since it reduces the time to complete the printing process. It doesn’t need films and plates anymore. What it does is to transfer the digital file directly to the printing press with the help of a computer. It’s relatively fast that customers often rely on digital printing to meet deadlines and schedules.

Letterpress – Created by Gutenberg, the Letterpress is considered as one of the first and original printing methods of all time. The letterpress gave birth to the concept of relief printing, where the image being printed is raised from the surface. However, the method is slowly going obsolete with the new and much faster methods being introduced in the market today.

Electrostatic Printing – Similar to photocopying, this method lets the color attach to a drum and is blended with the paper with the application of heat. It is similar to digital printing as it also provides cost effective production of short print runs.

Thermography – This method produces raised image that you see mostly in stationeries. What the printer does is to use a special powder or dust that easily sticks to wet ink. Then they apply heat to blend the ink and the powder to form the raised image.

These are still more types of printing methods. The bottom line is to know what would be the most suitable to your needs. We hope that the next time you hire a commercial printer for your marketing collateral you are able to discuss clearly what kind of printing method you require to achieve the results you imagined.

A cialis a day keeps the uncertainty away

The maker of Cialis will apply to the FDA for approval of a once-a-day version of its ED treatment. The company maintains that a daily dose will allow the benefactor to enjoy more spontaneous delight than he can with what the manufacturer refers to as its "on demand" version.

The company maintains that side effects of the new dosage are mild and consist primarily of an inexplicable bulge in the pantaloons.

Dr. Ira D. Sharlip, professor of urology at the Univesity of California, San Francisco, stated, "For patients who are more sexually active, which generally means younger patients, whose sexual activity is more spontaneous, it will be an attractive alternative, provided the cost is not prohibitive."

Until now, men had to take Cialis and other impotence drugs thirty minutes or more before they flung themselves into the arms of their lovers. Now they’ll be ready at the drop of a belt.

Some analysts doubt that millions of men will take the drug every day, since the biggest users of the therapy generally have sex only a couple of times a week.

Insurance companies may also refuse to pay for a daily dose.

Interestingly, a Cialis a day may also have cardiovascular benefits, since the enzyme that Cialis, as well as other impotence drugs, inhibits, flows in all the body’s blood vessels. As a result, the drug may be an effective treatment for high blood pressure.

An expert stated, "There may be a much bigger picture than just for erectile dysfunction."

He certainly chose his adjective well, since “bigger” does seem to be the operative word here, except in regard to the one item Cialis does, at its best, reduce the size of, and that is, of course, the performance anxiety, or uncertainty, of the aspiring lover.

Baccarat for beginners

Baccarat is sometimes known as the cousin of blackjack. The reason for the comparison is due to the basic game rules. In blackjack, you need to achieve a hand closer to 21 than the dealer’s. In baccarat, the hand closer to 9 is the winner. Baccarat is also known as the king of casino games and is one of the oldest card games still played at casinos today.

Unlike blackjack, in baccarat a player can bet on whether his/her hand or the dealer’s will win. The three betting options in baccarat are player, banker, or tie. Betting on the player will play even money. Wagering on the banker is the most popular bet but it is important to know that casinos charge a 5 percent commission when the player bets for the house. Players shouldn’t let this discourage them, though, the reason the house charges this fee is due to the fact that the banker wins, statistically, more times than the player.

The least common of the wagers is the tie, which pays eight to one. This is one of the least-profitable wagers a person can place at a casino, the house edge is extremely high.

The card values are easy to remember, face cards and ten are worth zero, ace cards are worth one and number cards are face value. A player receives two cards and can only receive one more hand during the game play.

Similar to blackjack, baccarat is a game where a single player faces off against the dealer. Baccarat, even with its glamorous image, is primarily a game of chance. Also unlike blackjack, a solid strategy still does not make this a ‘beatable’ game.

Baccarat is considered one of the most glamorous of the casino games. Due, in part, to the fact that for centuries this was a game played by the French royalty and to the fact that it was featured prominently in many of the 007 films as James Bond’s game of choice.

Even though the game is fairly simple to learn and master, it is one of the more popular choices for high-rolling, VIP players. Online casinos offer an array of baccarat betting limits but many land-based casinos only offer baccarat in high-minimum limits and, oftentimes, in a separated area from the main casino to offer the VIP players privacy.

There is an array of online tutorials available for beginning baccarat players.

Some other good resources online for beginning players are Ildado’s (http://www. ildado. com/baccarat_glossary. html) baccarat glossary and Online-Casino’s (http://www. online-casino. com) free practice game play.

Tips on how to choose the best pond pump

It often comes as a surprise to the budding pond enthusiast but the simple fact about owning a pond is that pond maintenance is not as simple as many people at first imagine it to be. Below we take a closer look at how to make sure that you get the best pump for your pond.

There are a lot of pond pumps on the market. So, how do you know which pump is the best for your pond? Follow our step by step guide for the answers:

Pond Pump Size

Before you even visit your local pond specialist or look at pond pumps on the internet, the first thing you need to do is to accurately measure the size of your pond as this will determine how big a pump you will need. Many pond owners prefer to have a larger pump than is necessary and this is something which you should discuss with the pond specialist shop when you tell them the size of your pond.

Pond Features

Another aspect of choosing the correct pond pump will revolve around the amount of pond features such as waterfalls and fountains that your pond has. The higher number of features the higher power pond pump your pond will require. If you have several pond features your pond specialist may even suggest having a separate smaller pond pump for each feature. This will have the advantage of working as a back-up system should any of the pumps fail.

Pond Pump Features

When it comes to buying the actual pump, make sure that the pump has the recommended amount of biological filtration and that the pump will turn the water over a minimum of twice per 24 hours. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each pond pump with the pond specialist before agreeing to purchase the product.

Pond Pump Maintenance

In order to get the best out of your pond pump you will need to ensure that it is being correctly maintained and care for. You need to check that the pump is working 24 hours a day and clean the pre-filters regularly. The cables attached to the pond pump should also be regularly maintained to ensure that they are not damaged and are performing correctly.

The certified scotch malt bar 401

The Certified Scotch Malt Bar: Worth the Trip

An establishment that is spending the time and using funds to maintain after qualifications for a Doc certified scotch malt single bar that carries a distinction is definitely a wonderful place. Just how wonderful is it?

It seems that the options are endless for novice malt drinker’s right up to the aficionados to have the truest sample of what the Spirit Gods intended. A place to conjure for this treat is surely something to be revered and in all accounts worthy of an award of this stature.

Every couple of weeks a new nectar seems to be hitting the market and this will definitely confuse the new malt sipper yet will send the old time connoisseurs into fits of glee all the while preserving single malt’s status as the true nobleman among spirits. Of course not all follow this robed king of beverage but it does have a strong standing.

Oddly enough they say that the taste of fine single malt an be influenced by the environment you sip in that is subjective at best as the finest single malt will always taste like the finest single malt.

It is extremely important that the tender at the bar know what he is talking about when it comes to giving you what you want or in many cases what he can suggest. Most aficionados are not unintelligent and have been around the malt block a few times. An award worthy bar would surely have someone at the helm whom knows the ins and outs of fine single malt and is ready, willing and able to give sound advice and help the newcomers feel at home.

To these engaging individuals that enjoy this spirit, hearing of a malt pounding fest at the local frat house or biker bar is an arrow to the heart. This is not a drink to become inebriated on instead it is a testament to absolute fine distilling craftsmanship.

To appreciate the subtle character differences in regional malts of Scotland is not for the impatient as there are many blends and malts to be had. If you have the time and are seeking the sheer enjoyment of this spirit you should find your own bar that is Doc certified to sell the select brands of fine scotch single malts; as an establishment such as this is worth its weight in gold.

Back when i was a kid

We must eliminate from our minds a few phrases when we are making decisions about how we will be raising our kids. They are the sayings like: "When I was a kid..." and "If I had done that when I was a kid, my dad would have..." or "Back when we were in school they used to..."

Now, this may sound odd to you coming on the heels of our last article where we took the stand that as a nation, we need to "recapture the sound of our kids among us just like we used to up at old Fairview Hall." There is an important distinction here. As parents we must never allow ourselves to fall into the trap of using "because it was done before," or "it has always been that way," or "that was the way my parents did it," as the sole justification for our actions with our kids. It is imperative that we have a sound behavioral, moral, spiritual, ethical, or legal justifications for the actions we are teaching to or demanding of our children. We must be able to explain to our kids in a very logical way, why we are asking them to behave in a particular manner. In essence, we must not only decide: 1) WHAT it is that we want our kids to do but we must also decide, 2) WHY we want them to do it! "Because it was done to me," is never a good enough reason to repeat it with our children.

There have been a ton of mistakes made in the past and we are doomed to repeat them if we are not careful to think long and hard about the justification for duplicating those actions with our kids. Following are a couple examples to demonstrate what we are talking about.

Two historical events demonstrate the obvious problems with doing what has always been done before. Slavery was common in early America. We certainly would not advocate the continuation of that practice today simply because it was done before. Neither would we teach our children that women should

be second-class citizens in the United States even though they were not even legally recognized under the Constitution until the 19th Amendment was adopted in the early 20th century. Simply saying that women should not vote only because they never had in the past was a ludicrous idea.

Likewise, it is foolish for us to tell our children that they should wear certain types of clothing simply because that has been an appropriate style in the past. The same goes for hairstyles and many other standards and customs for behavior. Let's look at establishing dress codes for kids.

We are not proposing abandoning all standards of dress for young people but rather, we are saying that we ought to make the standards logical and explainable in a reasoned sort of way and not just on the "If I had dressed that way my Dad would have killed me," sort of an explanation.

We can have dress codes... but why do we have them is the critical question. Nobody, in their right mind would say that we scrap any sense of awareness of how our kids dress themselves. However, dressing in a certain way because a previous generation did is rather silly to impose upon our kids (unless, of course, we would like to go back and begin dressing like our forefathers who wrote that Constitution did, simply because "that's the way they used to do it in this country.") Hey, let's get a few pictures of ourselves as teens and we can readily see that even we had some rather strange ways of dressing by today's standards.

The issue is "why?" Why are we asking our kids to dress in certain ways?

Here is a possible discussion:

"But Dad, why can't I dye my hair blue (wear spandex shorts to church, wear this provocative Jennifer Lopez top, use four letter words at the mall like the other kids, etc.)?"

"Well, my child, you probably could do that and in a perfect world it really wouldn't matter. But, we do not live in a perfect world. We live in a world that has a few flaws: one of them being that most people in this world make a ton of snap judgments based upon some rather narrow preconceived ideas. It is a fact that most of the people you meet will not be able to see beyond the blue hair (or loud dress, etc.) to get to know you. Many of those same people are in a position to control the circumstances of your life or pass judgments about you that have a huge impact upon your life. For the same reason that it would be a bad idea to wear a ball cap to a funeral, it is a bad idea to dye your hair blue... most people would interpret it wrongly. A ball cap at a funeral would be viewed by most as being extremely disrespectful of the person being honored by the funeral. Blue hair would likewise be interpreted by most people as a sign of disrespect for others."

"But dad, that's just the point, I'm trying to show my individuality. I don't want to just be like everyone else."

"Great son, I am all in favor of you being a one-of-a-kind individual, but anyone can dye their hair. Why not distinguish yourself by being truly excellent at something? Or why not try to undo some terrible wrong done by society? Why not distinguish yourself by making the world a better place? I'd love to help you. What is the cause that you would like to choose? If the only way that you can come up with to make yourself different is dying your hair, I would be disappointed in you because you are such a unique person with so much to offer."

Let us, as parents, become their teachers and give them some good solid reasons to choose to adjust their behavior in positive and productive ways simply because it makes sense to them.

Tips on how frequent travelers can stay healthy

Travel for business or pleasure can bring to the fore several health concerns. The most common ailments people experience while on a trip are hypertension, colds, and diarrhea. In order to build up resistance to fight diseases you must adopt a healthy lifestyle. Get adequate rest, adopt a good exercise program, eat balanced meals, avoid fast foods, and food full of saturated fats, and take vitamins and any other medication prescribed by the doctor. One of the simplest rules to stay healthy while traveling is never eat uncooked foods and do not drink water that is suspect.

To protect yourself pack a small medicine kit as well as your medical records and insurance card. To maintain your health be sure to follow an exercise regime while traveling. You must walk, jog, swim, or use the hotel gym. Or you could play an exercise tape on your lap top and do your exercises in the hotel room. The secret to staying healthy is to stick to a routine and eat balanced meals at regular times.

Here are a few tips:

• For every time zone you cross, take a day’s rest to allow your body clock to reset itself.

• Avoid alcohol but drink plenty of fluids. The crucial thing is to avoid dehydration.

• While on the plane try and rest as much as possible and exercise by getting up and moving down the aisles.

• Eat low fat meals on the plane, eat lightly, avoid salty, rich, and fatty foods.

• The CDC recommends that you drink only bottled water and that too the carbonated kind. The water bottles must be sealed and opened by you only. Do not use ice cubes under any circumstances and drink out of a straw.

• Use bottled water for brushing your teeth and for gargling. Wash you toothbrush in bottled water. Try and avoid using tap water.

• Eat and drink anything that is at boiling point or deep fried. Eat freshly cooked food. Avoid meat and seafood if you are traveling in interior areas where the meat is unlikely to be fresh and freezers and refrigerators are not dependable.

• While in flight you should do a few stretching exercises to avoid cramped muscles. Yawn frequently or chew gum to de-pressurize your ears. Avoid drinking coffee before and during a flight. Wear comfortable shoes and loose clothing. Include plenty of greens and carbohydrates in your pre-flight meals. Relax as much as possible and take a few deep breaths before boarding a flight.

• If you suffer from hypertension, motion sickness, an overactive bladder, weak digestion, or allergies consult your doctor before undertaking an extended trip.

Be sure to pack in your carry on bag a bottle of water, a few snacks especially if you are diabetic, as well as your first aid kit. Pack a light jacket or sweater to wear in case there are great variations in temperature.

Insurance. duplicated insurance wastes money

Have you ever worked out how much you spend on insurance? Try totting up your premiums – we suspect you'll be surprised! You'll be even more surprised to discover that there's a probability that you've also duplicated some of the cover you're paying for. Cut the duplication out and you're certain to save money.

Lots of people have insurance cover for legal expenses, loss of income, theft, even death, without even realising it. This can arise because many of us don't fully understand what's covered by the policies we have, especially if the policies had been arranged for us by financial advisers and brokers.

In a recent survey, The Financial Services Authority (FSA) discovered that optional extras such as breakdown recovery and legal expense cover, were frequently added to car insurance without checking whether the policyholder was already covered. It's also not uncommon to find that people with Permanent Medical Insurance have duplicated their cover via payment protection policies taken out specifically to cover their monthly payments on mortgages, loans and credit cards. The point is that if they claim on their Permanent Medical Insurance, their payout will be reduced because part of their claim is also insured through their payment protection policies – so their payment protection insurance is really a waste of money.

The Financial Ombudsman has confirmed this saying, “People often contact us when they find themselves over-insured. They often do not realise until they make a claim that they have been paying for a policy that provides very little, if any, benefit”.

There's also ample of evidence that some of us simply don't understand what we're actually insured for! For example, take the case of Amanda Lariviere from West Yorkshire. Amanda, aged 42 and mother of two, is recovering from ovarian cancer and had an allergic reaction to chemotherapy which kept her off work. Out of the blue she received an unwelcome tax bill so she decided to visit her building society to find out if she could raise some cash by re-mortgaging. The adviser at the Society wisely asked her to bring with her, her life insurance policies so that they could be used to support her re-mortgage application. So imagine Amanda's surprise and delight when the adviser explained that her policies with Norwich Union and Scottish Provident, which had been costing her Ј80 per month, were not life insurance policies at all – they were actually critical illness policies with a combined insured value of Ј100,000. She was able to claim on these policies and the Ј100,000 she received was sufficient to pay off most of her mortgage and her tax bill!

Here's some typical insurance policies to check out.

Critical Illness Insurance

Critical Illness insurance is often sold as an optional extra within a life insurance policy. In fact that's usually the cheapest way to buy it. However, some enlightened employers already provide critical illness insurance as part of their employment package. Ask your employer if you are one of the lucky ones!

Life Insurance

Some employers also provide life insurance cover within their pension schemes. It's called death-in-service benefit and typically pays out a tax-free lump sum worth 3 to 4 times the annual salary if the employee were to die whilst employed by the company.

Permanent Medical Insurance and Payment Protection Insurance

Permanent Medical Insurance (PMI) is also known by some people as Income Protection Insurance. PMI pays out the insured monthly sum if the policyholder is off work due to illness due to one of a wide range of specified illnesses - and some policies will even pay out during redundancy. PMI policies pay out indefinitely or at least until the policy comes to the end of its insured term.

Few appreciate is that PMI actually eliminates the need for Payment Protection insurance – the sort of insurance frequently sold alongside loans, credit cards and mortgages to maintain monthly payments if you are off sick, have an accident or are made redundant. Indeed, you can't make a claim against more than one policy for the same event – only one policy will agree to pay out! (All the others will reduce their payouts to the value of the money you are receiving from your other policies)

Mobile Phone Insurance Normally mobile phone policies have a hefty excess – rarely less than Ј50. You could be better saving the insurance and changing to a pay-as-you-go plan.

Legal Expense Insurance

Insurance for legal expenses relating to disputes concerning your home will usually be included free of charge within your home and contents insurance policy. Most car insurance policies provide legal expense cover as an optional extra – others even include it as standard. Some trade unions and professional associations sometimes include access to legal advice as part of their service to their members. Check these out before you pay for more cover!

Insurance for ID Theft According to “Which”, the consumer magazine, you are only legally responsible for the first Ј50 if your identity is stolen. Is it worth insuring for a Ј50 risk? Incidentally, my bank has just given me this insurance for free!

Automatic cover for credit card purchases Many credit cards automatically insure your purchases for a set period of time after you've shopped. Barclaycard is a good example. If you used Barclaycard to buy something valued between Ј50 and Ј2,000, you're insured against theft and accidental damage for the next 60 days.

Italian luxury handbags never go out of style

When it comes to fashion accessories, everyone knows that Italian luxury handbags are timeless. But, if you own a boutique or retail store, you may not know where to buy wholesale handbags, or have the knowledge to recognize reputable manufacturers. Here are some tips about what to look for, both in terms of fashion handbags and in terms of selecting the right supplier:

1. Skins are in. When it comes to Italian luxury handbags, look for those that are made from real python skin, real ostrich skin, and real crocodile skin. If you're concerned about price point, consider cocco-ligator skin, a process whereby natural crocodile fibers are used to create a skin similar to that of a crocodile, but is less expensive than crocodile leather.

2. Remember the color story. This year, the color story is all over the spectrum - literally. Vibrant reds continue to make a statement, while green is emerging as the must-have color of the year. Perhaps due to the influence of the environmental movement, women are selecting clothing and fashion accessories that reflect this eco-friendly color.

The other two colors that are emerging as frontrunners this season are purple and olive, while gold and silver are catching the limelight for eveningwear accessories. Of course, black never goes out of style, but embellishments are being added to more traditional black fashion handbags.

3. Look for the artisanal touch. The best Italian luxury handbags are handmade by artisans who have years of experience in crafting timeless pieces. The manufacturer you choose to work with should acknowledge the traditions associated with Italian craftsmanship, and the production process should involve a collective effort to bring out the finest qualities in the materials used. When it does, you will have the opportunity to purchase unique wholesale handbags that your customers will treasure.

4. Watch the paperwork. If you live outside of the European Union and you purchase genuine Italian luxury handbags made from exotic skins, there is an entire body of regulations governing their export. The manufacturer that you choose should be able to meticulously carry out the requirements for exporting these leather goods. For example, the manufacturer needs to track the origin of the skins, obtain the necessary licenses, and complete the proper CITES paperwork in order to ship the finished products to you.

5. Variety is key. Although you know your customer better than anyone, the chances are good that she has different needs for different occasions. Carrying a variety of clutches, purses, and tote bags helps build customer loyalty and repeat sales. The best manufacturers of Italian luxury handbags will give you the choices that you - and your customers - need. For example, you should be able to choose the styles of bags you want, as well as from among four different varieties of exotic skins and more than 30 different tonalities. When you do, your customers can find exactly what they need to match their wardrobes and lifestyles.

5 powerful tips for getting the help you need online

Copyright 2006 Tony Mase

In his book "How to Get What You Want", Wallace D. Wattles, best known for his classic masterpiece "The Science of Getting Rich", talks about the importance of "making constructive use of the people and things in your environment" in getting what you want.

One way you make constructive use of the people and things in your environment is to get the help you need, when you need it.

If you spend any amount of time on the Internet, you'll occasionally need someone's help...

It might be help with an online purchase, technical support for a product, or some other kind of help.

Regardless of the kind of help you need...

The manner in which you ask for that help will determine the quality and the quantity of the help you receive now and in the future.

You see...

There are two ways you can ask for help online...

One is "constructive"...

The other is "destructive".

When you ask for help in a constructive manner, you'll get the help you need, when you need it, and you'll "build" a relationship that'll keep the door open for future help.

On the other hand...

When you ask for help in a destructive manner, although you might get the help you need this time, you'll "destroy" any chance of a relationship and close the door to future help.

Based on the thousands of questions and support requests I've received and answered online, here are five powerful tips that'll help you get the help you need, when you need it, and get it in a way that'll leave the door wide open for future help:

Tip #1 - Don't lead with your chin.

Leading with your chin is a great way to get knocked on your...

Well...

You fill in the blank. :-)

The single most important thing you need to remember when you're asking for help online, whether you're asking by email or by filling out an online form, regardless of how angry or frustrated you might be, is that there's a real "live" person on the other end...

A person who has "feelings" just like you do!

Including phrases in your first request for help like...

"Are you going to help me right now, right this minute, or are you going to give me my money back?"...

Or...

"I'm starting to think this is a scam!"...

Or...

"If I don't hear back from you in one hour, I'm going to call my lawyer!"...

Might make you feel good, but they'll virtually guarantee whatever help you do get right now will be minimal, at best, and your chances of getting anything other than minimal help from that person again in the future will be somewhere between slim and none.

Tip #2 - Be polite.

For some strange reason, one I've yet to figure out, many people seem to think the rules of simple, common courtesy don't apply online...

Don't you be one of them!

A request for help written in a polite tone, using "please" and "thank you", will, more often than not, get you a prompt and courteous reply.

Tip #3 - DON'T SHOUT!!!

Whether you know it or not, typing your request for help in all capital letters is the online equivalent of shouting in the face of the person who receives it...

And...

The liberal use of multiple exclamation marks makes your shouting even louder and more emphatic!

Question for you...

Do you like it when someone shouts in your face?

Guess what?

Neither does anyone else! :-)

Tip #4 - Keep your request short and to the point.

Most people doing business online don't have the time to read long, drawn out messages trying to figure out what you need, nor do they have the time to keep writing you back over and over again trying to clarify what you need.

When you ask for help online, *always* include your name, contact information, order information, specific dates, specific details, and a clear, concise description of the help or information you need.

Avoid including any information that doesn't directly contribute to helping the person you're asking for help to give you the exact help you need.

Tip #5 - Say thank you.

After you've received the help you've asked for, a simple "thank you!" or "thanks, I appreciate your help!" will go a long way towards insuring the door will be wide open the next time you need that person's help again.

Once again...

The single most important thing you need to remember when you're asking for help online is that there's a real "live" person on the other end.

Treat that person as you'd like to be treated and you'll find as I have that, more often than not, you'll get all the help you need, when you need it, and that person's door will always be open to you should you need their help again.

Blog and ping - the basics

Blogs and ping are the most frequently used words in the IT sector today. These two words are on everyone's lips today. So why are blogs and pinging getting so much importance today? Blogs and pinging can get you very good profits in the wrong run. So what exactly are blogs and pinging?

A blog is a website where members can discuss online their views on a particular topic. There are some blogs that are general in nature where people can discuss anything and there are blogs on which you can discuss only on a particular topic. However it is advisable that when you start a blog it should not be generalized but it should be opened on a particular topic. For example instead of starting a blog on the Information Technology you can start a blog only on Microsoft Technologies. There are a lot of blog softwares that you can use on your server and then run it independently.

Blogs are increasingly used for SEO marketing. Through blogs you can advertise your internet site on the blogs. Blog and ping is a process through which you can post a snippet of information from your site to a blog to increase your SEO. When you post snippets of your website information on the blog, search engine sites like Google and Yahoo will find it more easily. The search engine will be able to track your site more easily due to spidering and indexing. You can blog and ping only very important information from your site and not all information. You can also rent links to your site which makes the work of spidering easier for search engines. There were many aggressive marketers before who used to blog and ping all their web pages and that also repeatedly. As a result the search sites termed the individuals spammers and then banned their websites from ranking.

So how is blog and ping done successfully? The tasks can be easily done with the help of softwares like Wordpress and RSS to Blog. Using these softwares you can submit your links to over 50 blog directories at a click of a button. You can download Wordpress and RSS to Blog and then install them on your computer. Once you have installed the programs on your computer you should them customize them according to your needs. Then you should create a list of links from your site that will use in the blog sites. You can do this automatically using RSS to Blog. You can save these links for future use also so that you don’t have to enter the list of links all over again. You also have the ability to add more data to RSS to Blog from external sources. The list of blog entries are automatically modified when you make more entries.

Hence we see that blog and ping are one of the best methods to make your website more famous in the search engines. You can use them and also modify their configuration according to your needs.

Looking for a good digital photography school

Although photography largely involve an eye for beauty and a natural instinct for clicking the camera, it is still important for photographers especially those that are just starting in the field to gather some experience in actual photography. Some practice on their spare time and learn the techniques on their own but this will take a lot of clicking time and magazine reading.

This is why most will go for the short-cut by enrolling in schools that offer short courses in photography. Of course, this will not guarantee to make you a master photographer in months but at least you already have all the tools that you need to make your way to the world of shapes and colors.

Here are some of the things that you should consider when looking for a good photography school to enroll to.

1.Course outline

This is perhaps the most important thing that you have to think about when looking for a school. The course outline will help you determine if the course is suited to the training that you need. It will contain a rundown of all the lessons that students like you will tackle in the class.

Take a look at the list and try to see if all the things that you need to learn are already there. If you find it lacking, try to shop around for other photography courses in the same school or better yet inquire in another school. With a lot of schools, museums and centers offering photography courses, chances are you will find the one that fits you to a T.

2. Specialization

There are courses that are offered according to certain specializations. For instance, some courses concentrate entirely on nature photography. Others go for portraits and human interest pieces. There are even some that do nude photography classes.

In other words, there are a multitude of specializations that you can go into. You can even take all of them; but of course, you have to shell out big bucks for that.

3. Laboratory and field work

Photography is a largely experiential field. You learn not from reading about it or discussing about the theories but in actual taking of shots and doing field works. In the course outline, try to look for the number of hours that will be spent outside the classroom.

Ideally, about 75 percent of the whole course should be used as practice time in fields or in the dark room. Only a quarter should be spent for theories and basics. Some courses offer a 50-50 ratio. Shop around for courses that emphasize field works and experiential learning as these are the courses where you can learn more.

Saving energy with electronics

According to the buzz, electronics are part of an energy-savings solution. Electronics increase control over home heating, cooling and lighting systems and make it possible to telework and to access information and entertainment from home-saving you money and gas and protecting the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

What does the industry recommend you do to help save energy for America and maybe some money for yourself? Here are some hints:

• Look for the Energy Star label. It can help you identify products that use less energy. Check out www. energystar. gov for a searchable database of Energy Star products.

• Go digital with your thermostat. Home heating and cooling systems use a significant amount of energy. Most digital thermostats quickly pay for themselves in energy savings. Programmable thermostats save energy while you're away or asleep by adjusting temperature settings.

• Unplug mobile phone or PDA chargers when batteries are fully charged or when the chargers are not in use.

• Be power-wise with your PC. Most personal computers have power management features that control energy use.

• Check owners' manuals to make sure you're taking full advantage of any energy-conservation capabilities of your electronics.

• Plug electronics, such as TVs, DVD players and audio systems, into power strips, and turn the power strips off when the equipment is not in use, especially for long periods of time. Just be sure to read the manual first to make sure you won't affect the product (for example, TVs that need to remain plugged in so that they can download program guides).

• Investigate home networking and automation products and services that let you control heating, lighting and cooling from a central location in the home.

• When in the market for home office products, consider a multifunction device, which combines printing, copying, scanning and faxing.

• Save fuel by shopping and banking from home on your computer.

• Ask your employer about working from home or a satellite business location to cut your commute.

Resume vs. Curriculum Vitae

A resume is a one - to two-page document summarizing your career objectives, professional experiences and achievements, and educational background. The heading of the resume should contain your name, address and contact information. The body of the resume should be broken into the following sections: career objective, profile/summary, professional experience, achievements, scholastics, and references. Your career objective should be brief, up to two sentences; it should give your potential employers an idea of how you wish to move forward in your professional life. A concise profile or a summary should discuss who you are and how your skills and experience best apply to the job you are interested in. The summary, as well as other parts of your resume, should not contain personal information that discloses ethnicity, sexual orientation, marital status, age, living situations, or any other personal information that is not directly related to your career. Personal profile/summary should only contain a few well-written sentences that convey what you can bring to the table in terms of the specific job. Use this section to attract the employer’s attention, but don’t go overboard in trying to be creative – stay professional. Your experience listing should include information on one to five jobs you’ve held, starting with your current or last job, and listing previous positions in chronological order. Your education should include college, graduate and post-graduate work, as well as any courses or professional certifications that are relevant to your career development. Achievements, volunteer positions, publications and interests should only be listed if they apply to your professional work experience References should be listed if requested; best practices suggest not to list generic statements about references being available upon request as this is understood.

Curricula vitae or CV is a collection of documents that describe your education and professional history, focusing on your achievements and showcasing higher level of detail than a resume. People most typically using CV as form of application are seeking positions in education, entrance into graduate and post-graduate programs, or research, and they are required to discuss their professional philosophies. While resumes are often limited to one or two pages, CV is a compilation of documents, has no length limit and extends over at least several pages (most frequently four or five pages, but can be more based on experience and achievements). A CV contains similar information as your resume, but places higher emphasis on education and scholastic accomplishments. Unlike your resume, a CV would contain information on scholarships you may have received, texts or research you have completed and published, grants you received, community and volunteer work, teaching philosophy, etc. You will begin by listing your career objective, in summary form, to showcase your commitment to your goals and actions you are willing to take to achieve them. If you are applying for a teaching position, give a brief outline of your reaching philosophy. Immediately following your goals, list your achievements, highlighting your education first. Here, you can mention your thesis project or dissertation, courses that support your career objective, publications and research (in progress or completed), certifications, studies abroad, languages, etc. Your experience should be included next, focusing on the work history that supports your career objective. This should conclude your CV.

If you are unsure which form of application to use, do the appropriate research and create a resume or CV that best fits the format commonly accepted in your industry.

Flooding - keeping thoses gutters and drains clear

Insurance claims from damage from flooding, cold and stormy conditions during the summer months have soared. 60% of current home insurance claims are related to bad weather conditions. Home owners are being warned that not only do they need to prepare their home by checking trees, gutters, drains and roofs, but they must make sure they are in a position to cover any damages by being adequately insured.

The overwhelming majority of household policies provide cover in respect of flood, however, it is necessary to check your policy to make sure this is so. Simple steps can be taken to prepare a property for the worst that the weather can bring. Built up leaves, seeds, dirt and other debris that has run down your roof and into your gutter can lead to a blockage in the system which in turn can lead to major problems. The good news is most of these blockages can be easily cleared, but it must be done often, ideally at the beginning of winter to clear leaves that have fallen during autumn and summer since high rainfall appears to be on the increase in most parts of the UK.

No matter what type of guttering you have, the troughs will need clearing. It is not a particularly difficult job, but it is essential if you wish to avoid problems further down the line such as water damage and serious outbreaks of dry rot.

Overview of heart rate monitors

Before, when we exercise, we have to stop what we were doing and count our pulses manually. If they are way beyond our target heart rate, we decrease the intensity of our exercise. Way below target heart rate, and we increase the intensity of our exercise. Or, we can gauge our exercise level by the way we breathe and talk when we exercise. For example, if we cannot say three sentences and are gasping hard for breath when we are doing the treadmill, then that means that we are exercising more than we should have been doing in the first place. If we can still talk easily as well as breathe just as well, then we are not optimizing our exercise.

Modern Way of Monitoring Heart Rates

With the advancement of technology, we also saw a lot of improvement in terms of exercise machines as well as devices like heart rate monitors. Now, there are heart rate monitors attached to treadmills, and these monitors we can attach to our chest area to monitor our heart rates. This is a good way go gauge the intensity and level of our exercise without stopping and counting the pulse rate or assessing our breathing. Heart rate monitors are not seen on treadmills alone as they can also be found in other exercise machines like elliptical trainers as well as stationery bikes.

Kinds of Heart Rate Monitors

There are two common kinds of heart rate monitors. One is the heart rate monitor watches. As the name implies, this heart rate monitor device is attached to the wrist. You can simply attach to your chest the chest strap that comes with the device, and it will monitor your heart rate where it will then send the recording to the watch. This kind of heart rate monitors is widely used by athletes as well as those that people that exercise in the convenience of their homes since this is lighter in weight.

The other kind is the strapless kind, which is more convenient to use. In this device, you no longer have the chest strap, and you can easily monitor your heart rate by placing two fingers onto the sensors provided in the device for about 5 to 15 seconds before you will get a reading. This kind of heart rate monitors is more for the casual monitoring of heart rates.

Benefits of Using Heart Rate Monitors

There are a lot of benefits that one can get from wearing heart rate monitors when exercising:

1. They are more convenient than stopping the exercise program and manually counting the heart rate.

2. They are more accurate than manually counting your heart rate.

3. This easily helps you monitor your exercise level and increase the level and intensity accordingly until you have reached your target heart rate.

4. This will give you a signal if you are overexerting yourself and needs to slow down a bit.

Tips in Purchasing Heart Rate Monitors

Here are some tips if you want to purchase a heart rate monitor.

1. Know your purpose. If you are only going to use it at home for your aerobic exercises, then the low-end heart rate monitors are for you. If you are an athlete and need it for your training, then it is much wiser to get those with additional features.

2. There are so many brands out there to choose from, and the best way to choose among them is to read forums and reviews regarding heart rate monitors. You will get the best review from those who have tried a brand and found them helpful or not.

3. The best way to buy heart rate monitors is to buy online where you will be given a variety of designs and brands as well as functions.

Why is it getting harder to find car insurance for young drivers

A number of car insurance providers have ceased to cover less mature drivers, so it is now essential to search around for car insurance for young drivers. A spokesman for the ABI, The Association of British Insurers stated that the reasons that certain companies had ceased to insure younger drivers was simply that they were far more likely to make a claim than older drivers.

These claims accounted for a disproportionate amount of money paid out by insurance companies when compared to more mature drivers, this according to ABI representative Malcolm Tarling.

UK government statistics show that back in 2004 there were over one hundred and fifty deaths of drivers who were aged sixteen to nineteen.

As a result of what insurance company's see as a greatly increased risk, they have steadily increased premiums to match that risk, but now many companies are simply turning their backs on providing car insurance for young drivers, and not issuing them with policies.

It has been very well documented that younger drivers are considered by insurance companies to be very high risk, they are not only more likely to be involved in accidents, and they are also more likely to be involved in accidents resulting in injury and death. Younger drivers are known to statistically drive at higher speeds, not obey traffic regulations, and drive in a more reckless manner than people of their parent’s age.

Over the past 30 years the number of young people driving on the countries roads has increased several times over, and with this has come an increase in risk to the insurance companies, this risk has been passed on in the form of higher premiums for

car insurance for young drivers, which is often paid not by the young person but by their parents.

The ABI has urged the government to take steps to protect young drivers such as imposing a mandatory one year learning period before obtaining a full licence.

The organisation also strongly suggests that parents should avoid taking out car insurance for young drivers using the old ploy that the young driver is an occasional user of the vehicle, when in reality they are the main driver, a young driver should only be added to the parent's policy in this way when they are in fact, an occasional user of the vehicle.

The ABI say, that it is false economy to make such an addition to their policy as the younger driver is likely to make a claim, therefore, hurting the parents standing with the insurance company.

They went on to say that it is important that if the young person is the main driver, they should take out a policy in their own name, which may be more expensive at first, but if that young person is responsible driver they will over a period of years establish their own insurance record, thus reducing the premiums over time.

Therefore the bottom line is, car insurance for young drivers is becoming harder to find, and when you do find it, it will probably be more expensive, so it pays to shop around for the best deal available.

Amassing christian wealth supernaturally today

In Deuteronomy 8:18, God told the people through Moses, that He had given them the power to obtain wealth so that He could establish the Abrahamic covenant with them just as He had with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

“Establish,” here, would be more understandable had our translators used the word “continue” in place of “establish.”

You see, the Abrahamic covenant was already established over four hundred years earlier with Father Abraham. Then it was reconfirmed with his son Isaac. Then it was reconfirmed with his grandson Jacob. Each reconfirmation just continued the unbroken force of it. It did not, however, establish it.

My point here is this. Those people with whom He reconfirmed or continued the Abrahamic covenant in Deuteronomy 8 (over four hundred years after He initially made it with Father Abraham) are simply the seed of Abraham who fell heir to the provisions of the covenant. One of these provisions is the supernatural power to supernaturally obtain wealth.

You are just as much a seed of Abraham as Isaac or Jacob. Yes, these three were partakers of the promise of wealth in the Abrahamic covenant by birth. We Gentile Christians are partakers of the wealth promise by grafting. Paul taught us about the grafting.

Rom 11:17

17And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; (KJV)

Rom 11:24

24For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? (KJV)

We Gentile Christians are the wild branches grafted into the olive tree so that we can equally partake with the physical seed of Abraham in the covenant promise of wealth.

As such, by grafting, we Gentile Christians are entitled to the same covenant provision of wealth as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the group in Deuteronomy 8.

Notice also that the wealth provision in the covenant isn’t bound by time. Whether four hundred years or four thousand years later makes no difference. The Abrahamic wealth provision is timeless since this covenant is a forever covenant.

A complete understanding of our covenant rights to Abrahamic wealth enables us to see that God gave this wonderful wealth provision in His forever covenant to us Gentile Christians also. God also establishes the Abrahamic covenant with us by giving us the same power to get wealth supernaturally.
